Mensch Contract

Between: Ariel and Joe Lubin

The Goal​

Joe will learn to play 5 songs on the guitar.

The Rules​

  • Each song must use at least 5 chords.
  • Basic (open) chords are fine — no fancy stuff required.
  • Each song must include basic strumming patterns with fingers.
  • No two songs may use the exact same set of chords — each one has to stretch Joe a little.

The Deliverable​

  • 5 video recordings — one of Joe playing each song start to finish.
  • A song counts as done when it's played all the way through, recognizable, and reasonably clean — no restarts mid-song. Small stumbles are fine; it doesn't have to be perfect.

The Deadline​

  • All 5 recordings delivered by November 1, 2026.

The Payoff​

  • $100 USD, paid by Venmo, once all 5 recordings are in.
